Houston Rockets (8-5) at Orlando Magic (9-3), 7:00 p.m.
(Sports Network) – A pair of division leaders will meet Saturday when the Houston Rockets continue a three-game road trip as they meet the Orlando Magic at Amway Arena.
The Southwest Division-leading Rockets opened the swing with an impressive 103-91 win over the Washington Wizards in the nation’s capital on Friday.
Tracy McGrady scored 14 of his team-high 20 points in the fourth quarter as Houston woke up from a lackluster start and outscored the lowly Wizards 33-14 in the fourth quarter.
Carl Landry and Aaron Brooks were once again terrific off the bench with 19 and 18 points, respectively, for the Rockets, who have won three of four overall and seven straight games over Washington.
Yao Ming returned after missing one game with a sore left foot and recorded 18 points and just five rebounds, while Ron Artest had a solid all-around effort with 14 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the victors.
The Rockets will finish the swing in Miami on Monday.
Orlando, which leads the Southeast Division, won a thriller on Friday when Rashard Lewis scored 23 points, including the final seven for Orlando in overtime, as the Magic edged the Indiana Pacers, 100-98, for their fifth straight victory.
Lewis finished 9-of-12 from the field, pulled down five rebounds, had six steals, and hit the winning shot with 23.2 seconds remaining.
Dwight Howard scored 24 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for Orlando, winners in nine of its last 10 games since starting the season 0-2. Jameer Nelson contributed 22 points and nine assists for the Magic.
The two teams split the home-and-home season series last season but Houston has won four of its last five games with the Magic.

Clippers won on the road against the Thunder by 20 points in OKC’s last game. Oklahoma City has now lost by 20, 11, 25, 10, and 17 points in their last 5 games, respectively. The Thunder simply do not have the players that can compete in this league. Now they have to face New Orleans, a team that is coming off back-to-back losses and more hungry than ever to get the win tonight. This is the same Hornets’ team that many picked as the favorite to win the West. New Orleans has won 5 straight over Oklahoma City, winning 123-92 at home last time and 107-93 on the road in their previous meeting with the Thunder. A double-digit blowout is inevitable tonight. Reasons why the Lakers cover the spread Tuesday:
1.) The Bulls have no post presence to contain Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. Chicago has Joakim Noah, Drew Gooden and Ty Thomas inside. This trio is no match for what the Lakers put on the floor. The Bulls are a guard-based team that relies on the jumper to beat teams. They will not be able to get anything inside tonight, thus the Lakers win in a blowout.
2.) Lakers are coming off a loss with 3 days of rest in between games. The Lakers have been just waiting to get back on the floor and make up for their first loss of the season to the Detroit Pistons last Friday. This rest has given the Lakers some time to work in practice and be more prepared for the Bulls tonight.
3.) The Bulls are 0-3 on the road this season, losing by an average of 11.0 PPG. Chicago won’t be able to get their road problems turned around, especially not against this hungry Lakers’ team. The Lakers are winning their games by an average of 14.4 PPG this season. A 20-point blowout is inevitable tonight.
4.) System Play. We’ll Play Against – Road underdogs (CHICAGO) – off a home win against a division rival, playing with 2 days rest. This is a 31-9 ATS System hitting 77.5% over the last 5 seasons. One of the reasons for this skid has been Josh Smith’s absence as he has missed the last five games with an ankle sprain. Teams have scored more than 100 in four straight, and that should continue tonight with the balanced offensive attack the Pacers have. Atlanta historically doesn’t really travel well, going 14-32 ATS on the road off a home loss by double digits since 1996 and 7-19 ATS on the road after any kind of loss the last two seasons. I’ll take Indiana tonight.
